My favourite client.

I LOVE stylin' humans hair, but sometimes its lovely to sit out in the sun with my favourite client, Inka. Booked in for a trim, she sits just as still as the humans and enjoys it all the same.
Well, how else to do you think she keeps looking so fabulous?!

I was given specific instructions to leave her white fringe well alone. She doesn't allow any scissors near her prized fluffy top....it's her best asset!

The weather is a swappin'.

Counting down the days until I can no longer step out in just a dress and parasol. In a few weeks time it will all be winter coats & umbrellas.
(Don't worry, they shall be just as glamorous!)

Don't melt away, keep freckles at bay.

It seems I definately do not need to wear my fur coat out and about anymore, I love the rays as much as the next gal, but there is one thing that unsettles me about the sun. As soon as my pale, suncream soaked skin is exposed to temperatures higher than 3 degrees I come over all freckle-y. Cute you may be thinking, but not when you are trying to keep a 'pale and interesting' exterior. Only one freckle is allowed on my mush and that is my beauty spot. Got it?!
SO to keep my skin freckle free, you can find me under a parasol in the warmer months.

Dita Von Teese looks good enough to eat.
Ahah! Seems other like-minded pale faced women also scurry under a pretty parasol as soon as the temperature rises.

Stay safe whether you are hiding or embracing your freckles!!

It's a pity to say Goodnight...

...To such a lovely day.
I do hope you fillies made good use of the sunshine to display your fav summer garms. I'm slowly banishing all knitwear, scarves and trousers to the depths of the wardrobe where all my floral frocks have been hiding, for the past year. Although, next week all warm items may well be re-appearing. Who knows?!
Sunshine it seems make me and Inka go a little mad!

Up with the sun.

This morning we went out into the garden. Inka had to tend to her herbs ( By the look of them they got bitten by jack frost last winter).
It's the beginning of capri weather!

Black & White September.

Last September we lived in the Old Post Office for a week.
Our cottage was on the very edge of the sea.

We went swimming,
befriended stray dogs,
and got called 'factory girls'.

(The effect I have put on this photograph can be found here. Christopher does not agree with making a new photograph look old. I understand what he says, but I love the look of old photographs, and for these pictures, I think it's ok!)

Lettin' go.

Back when Inka looked like Gnasher from Dennis the Menace, I used to wear this striped 40's sundress all the time. Just recently I haven't been feeling the same about it, so I'm lettin' her go. She is for sale here. (along with some other beautiful things which are for sale here.)
Please give this stunning dress a loving home!

A floral summer.

Last summer we were taken over the river to a friends birthday party.
The party took place in a pretty boat house. Complete with it's own dancefloor, how handy!
I knew there would be dancing, so I went fully dressed in Vivien of Holloway. A yellow floral circle dress and pink petticoats.

Gots the Snow blues.

Don't get me wrong laydees, I do love to wear my knitted sweaters, swing trousers, furs and stockings. I love Christmas time, hot mulled wine and But this morning, as I wrap myself in one hundred and one layers, pack my college kit bag and prepare to face the sub zero temps outside, I long for the days where me and my girlfriends could fool about outside in just our summer dresses.
Sigh.

I love this photo of me and my girlfriend, Ruth. It was taken for the opening night of Nottingham nightclub, Bopp last summer.
