Goodness Gracious!

Well I must say that on reporting back to CallMeLucille headquarters this evening has put a lipsticked grin on my face.
Thank you to all who have given me wonderful advice, compliments and for sticking with me and Inka. I think Inka gets most of the compliments, the little fur ball!

Here's an image taken quickly before us three headed out into tonight's darkness. I took a moment out from my usual posing to try out our 'Wanda pout' from Cry Baby......harder than you think!

A more serious snap of dear Ruth's hair I fixed for her for tonight's outing. She sure loves a swirl!

Seriously, a thousand thank yous, I will repay y'all in outfit post photographs!

Can I tempt you??

Take pity on me for I am a penniless gal with too many clothes......
Shop shop shop at my Etsy store where you will find beautiful clothes in need of a new home!

It pains me to do it, but things have gotten fairly desparate. I said I'd never sell this superb garden dress....

I'm trying to keep all my listed garments all fairly priced as possible. I have a list of big things to save up for this year, so it's time to bite the bullet and re-home some of the contents of my wardrobe.
Roll up!!
Rose Desire-Belle has already bagged herself a navy spotted wiggle dress, so get there before she snaps up more!!

Mrs.fox & the cat with the bow.

I can remember getting my first Tatty Devine piece of Jewellery. It was off a friend for my 18th birthday and was one of their kitsch name necklaces. It was black and plastic and I loved it. We all had ones in different gaudy colours and we thought we were the bees knees. Nowadays we have swapped our plastic name tags for slightly classier 'Carrie' style gold name jewellery. And we still are the bee knees.
I still have my first name necklace safe in my earring case, and even though I don't wear it anymore it doesn't mean my love of Tatty Devine has been forgotten. Their brooches, necklaces and cuffs always have a theme. And I love a theme. Especially if it is an animal one.

My wonderful fella bought me my first Tatty Devine brooch; a tortoiseshell fox. She will join my collection of animal brooches- I gaining quite a zoo!
The kitten and her blue bow was a present to myself, my collection is lacking in felines!

I'm on the lookout for a panda to bring home with me!

The Village Bicycle.

Today I spent the morning cycling from house to house to offer my cutting services. Luckily enough I have my green Rayleigh, Marlene, to take me from place to place in style! Even though little Inka had her matching blue scarf on, I had to leave little Inka at home as it was straight to the pub afterwards to bake the pies that everyone in the village loves!!

I've stayed snuggly all day with my blue embroided cardigan tightly tucked into a pair of VOH's new line of 1940's trousers.
Nothing beats cycling an old bike and Marlene sure gets me noticed!!

Gettin' Redder.

Let me introduce you all to Rose Desire-Belle, a beautiful burlesque performer I have got to know over the past year. Every 5 or 6 weeks we meet up so that I can keep her locks in check and its a great opportunity to inform one another of new online shops, strip teasers and tattoos we have come across.

Her ever growing baby beagle Bella joins us, listening us natter about the troubles of finding the right repro handbag or discussing her outfits for her next act whilst I set her hair in rollers. Beautiful Bella has her uses, she eats up all the hair I've snipped off the floor!

This week I was set the task of being the first person ever to colour her hair (apart from herself!) After being a raven haired burlesquer, Rose Desire-Belle decided she wanted to go red. Very red. And for this I needed to bring my whole kit, containing super strength peroxides to erase months and months of the dark dye!

It's still a working progress,we're planning on getting it even redder! The Bettie Bangs I cut in a few months ago needed some maintenance and after a few snips she was looking ready to pounce on stage and begin her teasin'!!

I've got most of me covered baby!

If you read my previous post, you'd be aware of the challenge I have set myself for the next few months. 15 days in and I'm not slippin'. I'm not leaving the house today, so this is my inside outfit. A couple weeks ago I'd be swanning around in a lace vest and bed shorts if I was staying inside. I'm much warmer and less goose pimpled nowadays and just as glamorous!

Stockings underneath my Tara Starlet Leopard Capris, CHECK! Vest top underneath my Lady K Loves black glitter sweater, CHECK!

If any of you gurrls have any tips on staying cosy, send em my way!

Your biggest fan.

I knew the postman was arriving, as Inka had stirred from her snooze and was howling at the back door. I have to admit, I had forgotten what I had ordered. (Doing most of my shopping on the internet I never know what will be arriving!)
Though my brain kicked in when I saw the 'Pin Up Parade' ribbon on my maroon parcel, it's my new skirt!!
I first spotted this fancy fan Bettie Page skirt on Pin Up Parade a few months ago and with Christmas presents to buy I begrudgingly pushed it to the back of my mind. It was only until I was rearranging my wardrobe that I realised I am slightly lacking on winter skirts. (I'm lacking on winter clothes in general!) This one definitely fits my winter specifics....thick, heavy material, plenty of it and dark colours to pair with furs and sweaters.

Ok, I know I am not really dressed for winter on my top half, and I'm risking breaking my new years resolution! I am always complaining that I am cold and spend November-February hunched over trying to keep warm so my N.Y.R is to dress APPROPRIATELY. This is not a word I am familiar with, so I promise that for the next few months while the weather is still chilly, every outfit post will be wintery, not compromising  on glamour and most importantly it will keep my goose-pimpled body warm and toasty!
I swear, this is going to be harder than it sounds!

Stepping out of Christmas.

After a rather long and boozy Christmas & New Year break, I have hardly left the comforts of my warm silk dressing gown. (only once to glam up for NYE...photos soon) I've spent the holidays floating about the house, hoovering up chocolates as I go. And if I wasn't eating, I'd be found under the duvet with a Betty Grable movie on in the background. Pretty dam lazy huh?
Today is my last day before I return back to reality (work) and I can hardly wait to slip back into my stockings. Being lazy is fantastic, but after two weeks of living in night wear, it's time for some serious outfit posting to commence. Watch out ladies...and gentlemen!

Just a quick photo to wet your new twenty twelve whistles.....I don't think I have dressed this practical since I was 11! However, I still kept it Land girls, with my lipstick and head scarf. Practical can still be ever so slightly glamorous! This was taken outside the local pub where I sometimes still work. I love being behind the bar with my headscarfs and leopard print capris. I like to think of myself as the Village Bette Lynch!

Hope your Christmas's and NYE's were full of merriment, jiving and festive themed outfits!
