Sit!
Finally, after a weeks worth of ebay searching I have found a top to go with this star spangled skirt. It happens to be from VOH and I happen to love it. You can always rely on Vivien to offer a gal exactly what she is looking for. Is it just me or is anyone else experiencing dry spells on ebay?
Today my red white and blue outfit is worn for training Inka in the garden. As you can see, I have mastered the 'sit'.

Without a title.
I found these photographs waiting to be used, in my 'blog' folder. Some of them have been there for months bless 'em, but I can't seem to think of posts to go with them. So I'm groupin' 'em all together for a rather oddball post. Enjoy!

At Lucille's House.
A few months ago, I invited some girlfriends round into my salon/bedroom.
The day started off nice and relaxed with tea and all climbing into my bed for girl talk.
I love having my bedroom full of my girls. One of the girls in particular was showing off. Look at her prancing around in the middle of that bed!!

Then I got down to hair business. I'm quite the messy worker, clips, pins and rollers we scattered EVERYWHERE, but the photos make my little salon appear mess free and lovely.
And after hours of gossping, pinning, setting and filling the room with hairspray fumes, here are the finished results...
Ruth got a Betty Grable inspired up do. Complete with pink fascinator. The real cherry on top!
I gave Lucy a rockabilly inspired half-up, half down beehive. Instead of leaving the ends to dangle, I made two swirls outta the ends.
Rosie looks picture perfect with traditional pin-up girls curls and flowers.
Even short hair can be teased into Vintage curls. Beki's lovely ginger locks are set in tight curls and then combed out. The green flower contrasts againt her Ruby hair!
I am working on tutorials for these styles, so stay tuned gals!

Gimmie some skin.
All you rockabilly chicks out there know damn right that leopard print and all things 50's go together, well, just like rock and roll. No surprises then that my wardrobe and accessory draw is rammed full of animal prints (and I'm sure yours is too!) But these capris from Tara Starlet have definitely claimed their place as queen of the jungle prints in my closet.
Bad, bad missus in those skin tight britches.

Roll up.
I'm as ginger as I'll ever be!
I found myself contemplating with the idea of changing my locks to a pearly blonde after work on Saturday, but I adore being a flame haired vixen too much. I persuaded the lovely girls at the salon to give my hair a boost as we were quiet. They used a L'oreal colour, from the 'Majicontrast' range. Originally marketed for dark, resistant Asian type hair, it has bleach within it and lifts upto 2 shades whilst the colour develops. You're not actually meant to apply to the scalp, it's made for highlights. Stuff manufacturer's rules, I want bright orange hair! I even went under the heater too.
And look L'oreal, look at my fluorescent barrel curls!

Crisis cooking.
Don't worry, there is no crisis....my good friend Darren over at Crisis Tattoo has helped to design me the hottest, burlesque tat you ever did see. So in return I told him I would bake him a cake. A lemon one.

On the land.
Over-alls and red lips make lands girls the best kinda girls! Slowly collecting pretty blouses and dungarees to add to the working girls collection.
Got my stack of bangles on again. Mainly because I am trying to hide my Glastonbury band. It clashes with every single one of my outfits, yet I cannot bring myself to take it off.
Every Land Girl needs her own furry companion.

Tree prints.

Bangles on bikes.
We have been enjoying many bike rides this week. Cycling through the trees, along canals and to friend's houses which is always lovely. And cycling along busy scary main roads complete with angry drivers wanting to knock you off which isn't lovely. Anywho, I've dug out all my bangles and shoved 'em on my wrist. Just like Fleur's from Diary of a Vintage Girl.
