My most recent escapades...

For those who don't know what I do when I'm not posing in my Vintage finery or snapping cute photos of my dog, I work at Bella Me. A specialised Vintage Salon, run by a Lady who has the same love for Vintage Hairstyling as me. It's an amazing job, sometimes it doesn't really feel like work at all and working with like minded people is always so refreshing. Lately we have been run off our peep-toes, attending a number of events we have been invited to, all vintage ones of course. The photo above was taken at a Vintage evening hosted by Eden Bea, selling sparkles of all descriptions all set in a glorious Art Deco pub, with original décor remaining throughout!

A quick snap with burly Rose-Desire and the fabulous lady behind Boo Boo Kitty Couture.

Another event we were styling folks hair at, held at the Black Cherry Lounge in Nottingham. I made sure I was all seamed up, Dita style for the event and we managed to catch all of the show. The line-up was fantastic- Missy Malone, Ivy Wilde and Flixx Demontrant, a bouylesque-r. I've never seen boylesque, but boy, it was good!!

This morning snap was taken by our local weather girl. Trailing my jubilee hair arrangement, Lucy Kite was so impressed, I was invited into her sweet little garden so she could pap me. I was more than happy about the whole affair, this lady happens to have THE most beautiful cottage in the village.

I got the photos back from Bella Me's first photoshoot for our April advertising. Yours truly was an Easter bunny for the day! Although it was suprisingly tiring, I enjoyed being in the studio and am making an effort to get more modelling work.....infact I'm off to a Vintage shoot with Apple Pie Photography as soon as I finish typing!

Gettin' Redder.

Let me introduce you all to Rose Desire-Belle, a beautiful burlesque performer I have got to know over the past year. Every 5 or 6 weeks we meet up so that I can keep her locks in check and its a great opportunity to inform one another of new online shops, strip teasers and tattoos we have come across.

Her ever growing baby beagle Bella joins us, listening us natter about the troubles of finding the right repro handbag or discussing her outfits for her next act whilst I set her hair in rollers. Beautiful Bella has her uses, she eats up all the hair I've snipped off the floor!

This week I was set the task of being the first person ever to colour her hair (apart from herself!) After being a raven haired burlesquer, Rose Desire-Belle decided she wanted to go red. Very red. And for this I needed to bring my whole kit, containing super strength peroxides to erase months and months of the dark dye!

It's still a working progress,we're planning on getting it even redder! The Bettie Bangs I cut in a few months ago needed some maintenance and after a few snips she was looking ready to pounce on stage and begin her teasin'!!

Oddball Burlesque.

On Friday night, I took two people to watch Burlesque for the first time. Not just any burlesque mind you. It was Oddball Burlesque.
The event was hosted and created by the hilarious Emerald Ace. A performer herself, who can twirl her tassels like no other woman. I only caught a few of the acts, if you want to see more Oddball click here.
Glorian Gray preformed a tease on her trampoline in a fetching green outfit.
Mama Jenufa treated us to one of the funniest acts I've seen. We saw exactly what happens when Pat Butcher meets Burlesque. Her finale was the best bit, she took her earrings off, placed them on her pasties and SHOOK!
All the small ones (Me and Ruth) had to sit down at the front, Christopher is not a little one as you can see.
We left feeling teased, tickled and wanting more!

Oddball Burlesque.

It's just a few weeks away now to Oddball Burlesque. Held in Nottingham on Friday 18th Feb. I'm very intrigued, I've seen loads of regular Burlesque, but never any of the oddball variety. Should be cool.
Check out the link to have a browse of their website and to find out what oddball burlesque is all about. Or if you live near Nottingham, come along!
Here are some of the preformers we will be treated to watching. (Particularly excited to see what is involved with when watching a male burlesque preformance!)
Marnie Scarlett.
Warren Peace.
Mama Jenufa. Described as the 'Pat Butcher' of Burlesque.
