When the HepKat is away....

...the dogs will play!
I've been holidaying along the coast leaving the pooch behind. True to her word, Inka has been sending me photos of her daily goings on. I've been apart from her to much lately!
She tells me she's been lettin' loose in my bedroom, dressin' up in all my garms and playing all the records I won't let her play.

This bow tie hair grip was sent as a little extra from Swell Dame. I bought a fruit hair comb from her Etsy site, which I wear quite often. The lady behind Swell Dame must have known Inka was on the lookout for an atomic printed bow tie!

Apparently I had a parcel this morning...and this is what it was in it. Hands OFF. I have a dress to match that aurora necklace perfectly.

It seems my wardrobe full of colourful prints and full skirts is too much of a temptation for her. Proving a point of creasing all my lovely colour co-ordinated (I like doing it!) clobber and sticking her little tongue out at me.
And look, she has adopted my previously mentioned and totally loved jubilee flowers. Hey Inka, the Queen's Jubilee is over!!

But whilst I've been representin' East Coast glamour on picnic boats, on the pier and even during fish and chip eating, I can rest knowing that Inka is keeping the Call Me Lucille posts going!

Just keep rollin'.

I've gotten so used to pin-curling my hair these days, leaving them to set overnight and unravelling the magic in the mornings. I noticed my heated rollers underneath my desk and decided to warm 'em up and show my hair some heat.
The thing I love most about using rollers is walking around the house with them in. I feel like a Hollywood starlet!
Though the look only works when worn with a silk robe, fluffy slippers and a sweep of rouge on your lips!!

Pooch Portrait.

Inka has been taken on holiday for a week. A walking 'holiday' in Wales. Not my idea of fun, but I guess for a lil ol' dog it will be totes-apropes.
While she has been away, I have been pining for her. I've missed her sitting next to me when I'm getting ready in the morning, I've missed prancing about the village in matching scarves blah, boo, sob.
SO, for her return tonight I have bought something in which I know she will jump about on her little tippy toes for........Her very own Victorian portrait!

I had found a service on Etsy a few months ago, where you can send in photos of your prized pooch (or cat, mouse, duck...) and they will then be transformed into a sepia keepsake.
The wonderful and very sweet lady behind Digital Dogs, Cindy Jererll told me that Inka 'insisted on wearing something of mine'....which doesn't surprise me!! And when I received the photo I spotted straight away my Jubilee Flower (worn in my previous post). And if you look very closely, Inka has her own little swirl in her white tufty top. It's amazing.
Cindy sent me two portraits. The one below, Inka is wearing my 40's specs, which were also swiped from my blog.

Inka is going to love me forever.

A few favourites from the Digital Dogs Etsy page.
PLEASE GET ONE FOR YOUR PET!

Rouge, Blanc & Bleu.

I don't feel like I'm making enough effort by throwing on the first red and blue dress I see for this weekends celebrations. For me it's all about the details and I enjoy taking things up a level. I'm interested in what you can do with your hair. (As always!) I am already aware of how many rouge, blanc and bleu items hang in my wardrobes- the three colours appear to be favourites!!  My mission is to find appropriate hair/head pieces to impress Ol' Queenie.

Flowers; Asda.

I've worn these flowers constantly on the run upto the Jubilee and will continue to wear them after the celebrations. They're super swish.

Now, in the next few images, you will see that my blonde stripe has morphed into a strip of new colour, resembling candy floss. What do you think? I'm planning on keeping it for a while, then changing it to a mint green. The white blonde served me well, and acts as a great base to apply new pastel colour to whenever I chose!
Now back to Jubilee hats.

I salute you HRM!

Shirt; Freddies of Pinewood
Trousers; VOH

Everytime I wear this Beret my Dad always asks, 'Do you know that your hat has shrunk in the rain?'

Dress; Bettie Page.
Beret; Re-made from a large Beret originally from Primark.

For all you outfit lovers, I've included some details of this weekends wares.
