After a rather long and boozy Christmas & New Year break, I have hardly left the comforts of my warm silk dressing gown. (only once to glam up for NYE...photos soon) I've spent the holidays floating about the house, hoovering up chocolates as I go. And if I wasn't eating, I'd be found under the duvet with a Betty Grable movie on in the background. Pretty dam lazy huh?
Today is my last day before I return back to reality (work) and I can hardly wait to slip back into my stockings. Being lazy is fantastic, but after two weeks of living in night wear, it's time for some serious outfit posting to commence. Watch out ladies...and gentlemen!
Just a quick photo to wet your new twenty twelve whistles.....I don't think I have dressed this practical since I was 11! However, I still kept it Land girls, with my lipstick and head scarf. Practical can still be ever so slightly glamorous! This was taken outside the local pub where I sometimes still work. I love being behind the bar with my headscarfs and leopard print capris. I like to think of myself as the Village Bette Lynch!
Hope your Christmas's and NYE's were full of merriment, jiving and festive themed outfits!
Love as always Lucille xx

ReplyDeleteOutside the window, there slides past that unimaginable and deserted vastness where night is coming on, the sun declining in ghastly blood-streaked splendour like a public execution across, it would seem, half a continent, where live only bears and shooting stars and the wolves who lap congealing ice from water that holds within it the entire sky. All white with snow as if under dustsheets, as if laid away eternally as soon as brought back from the shop, never to be used or touched. Horrors! And, as on a cyclorama, this unnatural spectacle rolls past at twenty-odd miles an hour in a tidy frame of lace curtains only a little the worse for soot and drapes of a heavy velvet of dark, dusty blue.
